Monona, Ia - Dr. Bruce B. Everall, 70, a Monona physician for 45 years, died suddenly at 6 p.m. Friday after a heart attack.
The widely known doctor had lived in this vicinity most of his life. He was born Nov. 12, 1877, on a farm near Farmersburg. He was graduated from Drake university in 1901. After practicing in Clinton for two years he came to Monona.
He married Myrtle Trumpler on Nov. 16, 1904.
He was in the army medical corps in World war I. He was a past master of the Masonic lodge here and past president of the Clayton county Medical Association. He was a member of the Iowa State Medical association and a life member of the Surgeon's club at Rochester, Minn. He was a past commander of the American Legion post, and he served on the city council for many years.
Surviving are the wife; a daughter, Mrs. George Martin, of La Porte City; one grandchild; and a sister, Miss Bess Everall, of Albert Lea, Minn.
The body was taken to the Schultz funeral home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday from the Methodist church, with burial in Monona cemetery.
