Alvard Trombley died in Read on the 22nd inst., after an extended illness. He was born in Franklin County, N.Y., Aug. 20th, 18__ (looks like 1866), coming to Iowa in 18__ (looks like 1868 or 1888). He married Jane Dyer March 13th, 1890. To them were born six children. The wife and four children survive. The funeral was held Sunday at the Congregational church, Rev. A. S. Hock, officiating. The interment was in the East Side cemetery. One brother, Nathan, of Durand, Wis., was present. The family and friends feel very grateful to Rev. Mr. Hock for his considerate kindness shown at the funeral of this unfortunate man.
