After several weeks of patient suffering death has claimed one of our old settlers. This time it has claimed Thos. Conboy, Sr. He has gone to join his loved ones who have gone before. Thos. Conboy was born July 21st, 1843, in Manmoth Co., New Jersey, and departed from this life March 20th, 1906. He was married to Ann Curley May 20th, 1861. They left that place and came to Iowa Sept. 6th, 1866. Here they have since lived. To this union were born twelve children, nine of whom are living, Mrs. Frayer, of Fayette; Katie Dovle and Peter, of Minneapolis, Michael, Thomas, John, Anna, Frank and Earl, who are left with their loving mother to mourn the loss of their loved one. Two children died in infancy and Will, who died in 1903. The sincere sympathy of the entire community goes out to the broken hearted companion of his life and the children in whom was wrapped all of a father's love. The funeral took place at the Catholic church, Thursday forenoon at ten o'clock.
