Mrs. Lizzie Anton died at the home of her son near here on Feb. 19th, after a long and painful illness, with rheumatism, of many years duration, and having been bedfast for six years. She leaves an aged husband, three sons and three daughters to mourn for her. The funeral was held Wednesday at the Catholic church here, and at which she had been a life long member, Rev. Minogue officiating. The remains were taken to Strawberry Point for interment.
Mrs. H. Hochstetter, of Wyanet, Ill., Mrs. Wm. Schacherer, of Wallingford, Ia., Henry Anton, John Kramer, and Mrs. Wm. Howland, of Strawberry Point, were here this week, being called by the death of their mother, Mrs. Anton.
