Elkader Register, Thur., 8 Feb. 1906.

At the residence of her son, Peter Dunn, in Cox Creek twp., on Sunday, Feb. 4th, occurred the death of Mrs. Winifred Dunn, in the 86th year of her age.

Winifred Reilly was born March 20th, 1820, in Dublin, Ireland. She came to America in 184_ (Looks like 1840 or 1849.), and at Boston, Mass., was united in marriage with Peter Dunn. They came west in 1851 and settled in Clayton county, where she resided until death. Her husband preceded her in death several years ago.

Six children were born to them, one, Farrell, died in infancy. Those that survive are M. P. Dunn, James and Peter, of Cox Creek, Mrs. M. H. McCarthy, of Dubuque, and T. A. Dunn, of Wyoming.

A few months ago Mrs. Dunn fell and fractured a limb, which, with her advanced age, has perhaps hastened her departure. She was one beloved by all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance, and will be mourned and missed by a large circle of friends.

The funeral was held at the Sacred Heart church in Cox Creek, Wednesday, Rev. Father Hartigan, the pastor, officiating. The interment was in St. Joseph's cemetery, at Elkader.
