Lillian Jacobia

Funeral services for Mrs. Milo Jacobia were held Wednesday, October 18, 1995 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church at Postville, Iowa. The Reverend Charles W. Miller officiated. Joann Martins was the organist and Dan Anderson was the soloist. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.

Lillian Louise (Radloff) Jacobia, daughter of Henry and Mahala (Hoth) Radloff, was born December 3, 1918, in Grand Meadow Township, Clayton County, near Luana, Iowa. She passed away Friday, October 13, 1995 in the Good Samaritan Center at Postville, Iowa. She had reached the age of 76 years, 10 months and 10 days.

She was baptized February 2, 1919 by the Reverend L. Schmidt and confirmed on August 24, 1930 by the Reverend R. B. Garten, both in St. Paul Lutheran Church at Postville, Iowa. Lillian attended the Eno School in Wagner Township.

On December 22, 1937 she was married to Milo Jacobia in St. Paul Lutheran Church at Postville. To this union a daughter, Judy, was born. The family has lived on their present farm near Gunder all of their lives. For the last 25 years, Milo and Lillian have traveled to Mesa, Arizona, where they live during the winter months. They have taken trips to the other places including Hawaii and Cuba.

She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Terry Meisner.

Surviving are her husband, Milo, a daughter, Judy and her husband, Ron Meisner, of Spring Valley, MN, four grandchildren, Teresa and her husband, Robert Davis of Mankato, MN, Trent Meisner of Potosi, WI, Timothy Meisner and his wife, Antje, of Waterville, MN and Troy Meisner, who is presently in Jordan, four great grandchildren, Lindsey Meisner, Justin Meisner, Jonathan Davis and Colter Meisner, one sister, Donna Mae and her husband, Milton Olson, of Postville and two brothers, Harley Radloff, Sr., and his wife, Mary of Chandler, AZ and VerDean Radloff and his wife, Jean Ann, of Postville and many nieces and nephews.

Lillian was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville. She was also a member of the Home Garden Club and a neighborhood card club.

Casket Bearers were Malin Schultz, James Farmer, Leo McNally, Cliff J. Olson, Alan Martins, Daryl Anderson and Maurice Landsgard.
