McGregor, Ia. - The funeral of Charles Wheeler, 68, who died Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lyle Thornton, in Patch Grove, Wis., was held at the Pilkington Funeral Home in McGregor Monday morning, the Rev. E.H. Shuey, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was at Edgewood.

Mr. Wheeler was born in Edgewood on May 2, 1875, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wheeler. For the past 25 he had lived in McGregor working at the trade of carpenter. His wife died about a year ago.

Besides the daughter, Mrs. Thornton, a son, Cecil, of Des Moines, survives.
