Garnavillo- Services for Mrs. Flora Dehn, 77, who died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Henry Ramsey, in Clark, S.D., April 30, were held from Gospel hall Monday.
She was born on March 20, 1870, in Hokah, Minn., a daughter of John and Susanna Haltmeyer. When she was an infant, her parents moved to McGregor, Ia. She was married to John Dehn on Jan. 19, 1887. They lived on a farm in Clayton county and in 1929 moved to Clayton, where she lived until four years before her death. She spent one year in Miami, Fla., with a sister, Mrs. Amelia Bush, and the last three with Mrs. Ramsey in South Dakota.
Her husband died in March, 1933, and two daughters, Laura and Clara, died in infancy. She is survived by six children, Elmer and Weber, of Manchester, Ia., Laurence and Esther, of Waterloo, Ia., Mrs. Ramsey, of South Dakota, and Mrs. Bush, of Miami. Twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive, as does one half-sister, Mrs. Wm. Lindeman, of McGregor. Her parents, two brothers, one sister, one half-sister and one half-brother also preceded her in death.
