Elkader Register, Fri., 27 April 1883.

At her house in Garnavillo, on the 21st inst., occurred the death of Mrs. Laura Schroeder, wife of Louis Schroeder, at the age of 23 years, 10 months and 23 days.

Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Goodrich, of Guttenberg, and was born at that place June 25th, 1858, and was married to Louis Schroeder March 21st, 1881. She was a good woman, and had a large circle of friends, who will greatly mourn her loss.

By her death she leaves a husband, and little child to mourn the departure of a tender, loving companion, and a kind caring mother. They will have the sympathy of all in their bereavement. The funeral occurred on the 23rd inst., and was largely attended. Her remains were laid away to their final rest in the Garnavillo cemetery.
