Mrs. Isabell Pinley died at her home in Highland township, on the 23rd inst., of dropsy, aged 71 years. Deceased was born in England, and with her husband came to America in 1849, settling first in Portage City, Wisconsin, where they resided but a few years, when they removed to Jo Davis county, Illinois. After a few years residence there, they again moved, this time locating in Sperry township, this county. After the close of the war, their son Robert came home and they located in Highland township, settling on the farm where Mrs. P. breathed her last. They had two sons, but one was killed during the war. By her death she leaves an aged husband and one son, Robert, to mourn the loss of a true and tender companion, and a loving mother. The funeral occurred on the 25th, Rev. J. C. Whitford officiating, after which her remains were laid away in the cemetery at this place.
