On Sunday morning, July 26th, at his home in Farmersburg township, Henry John Franz, son of Fred Faber and wife, was relieved from his intense suffering. He was born Nov. 4, 1898, in Garnavillo, and had reached the tender age of 4 years, 8 months and 22 days. He leaves his parents, two sisters and two brothers to mourn his loss. Funeral was held at this place Tuesday by Rev. Braun.

The light of his young life went down,
As sinks behind the hill,
The glory of a setting sun,
Clear, suddenly, and still.
