Funeral services were held for Raymond William Drenkhahn, 82, Monday, July 13, 1992, at St. John Lutheran Church, Guttenberg. Rev. L. R. Lechner officiated the service with burial in Guttenberg City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brice Ashman, Jim Carr, Harold Moore, Mike O'Connell, Dick Mohr and Gene Tujetsch.

Raymond William Drenkhahn, the son of William and Frieda (Singer) Drenkhahn, was born April 1, 1910, at Guttenberg. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Business College. He was united in marriage in 1934 to Eileen. She died November 30, 1955. In 1957, he was united in marriage to Grace Bacon at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Marion. He worked eight years with Iowa Electric Co., and 34 years with the Cedar Rapids Post Office. He belonged to St. John Lutheran Church. Raymond William Drenkhahn died July 10, 1992, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Joan (Lyle) Hanson of Midland, Mich.; a son, James of Hiawatha; five grandchildren, Kimberly Doane, Stephanie and Jennifer Hanson, Jay Drenkhahn and Kathy O'Connell; three great-grandchildren, Andrew, Ashley and Jacob Hanson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Kenneth in 1980.
