Elkader Register, Thur., 24 Dec. 1903. Clayton column.

Mrs. Henry Sharp died here on Saturday morning at 1:00 a.m.., having been ill two weeks. Deceased was born in Kilkenny county, Ireland, in August, 1829, and in 1850 came to this country settling in New York. There she was married to Henry Sharp in 1851, and in 1855 came here, which has been their home ever since. Mrs. Sharp was a woman greatly endeared to her home and family and was highly respected by all who enjoyed her acquaintance. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband and two daughters, Mrs. John Kuempel, of Guttenberg, and Mrs. E. J. Hodge, of Clinton, besides other relatives. We extend our sympathy to the sorrowing relatives. She was buried in the Clayton cemetery on Sunday, Chas. Scholz officiating.
