Dr. A. B. Hanna died at the county home last night about eleven o'clock. Forty years ago the Doctor was one of the leading physicians of the county. He was about 75 years of age. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, under the auspices of Elkader Lodge, A.F. & A.M. All brother Masons are requested to be at the hall at 2 o'clock p.m.

The funeral of Dr. A. B. Hanna was held last Friday afternoon under the auspices of Elkader Lodge, No. 72, A.F. & A.M. About forty of the brethren were in attendance. We have endeavored to find the facts in regard to Dr. Hanna's early life, but have not been able to do so. He was born Feb. 10th, 1826 at Maugheramore, County Autrim, Ireland, and was in his 78th year at the time of his death. He was a graduate of Dartmouth college, and in years gone by was said to have been one of the most skillful physicians in Clayton county.
