Elkader Register, Thur., 8 Oct. 1903. Strawberry Point column.

Sad word was received here last Thursday announcing the death of Dr. Chase, whose home is in Nebraska. The remains were brought here Saturday for burial under the auspices of the Masonic Lodge. He leaves a wife and several children besides the relatives and friends to mourn his death. He was physician here for a number of years and his friends are numerous. Two sons, Hiram, of Mason, Neb., and A. E., of Loop City, Neb., arrived here with the remains. His wife was unable to come owing to the illness of the smaller children.
