We regret to announce that Mrs. Peter Lei died at Littleport this afternoon, leaving a husband and several small children.

Mrs. Peter Lei died at her home last Thursday, Oct. 15th. She was born and raised in this community and was known to rank the highest among the young ladies. She leaves to mourn for her a husband and three little children. The funeral services were conducted by Father Reilly, after which she was laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery at Elkader. May she rest in peace.

Sophia Rieck was born in Cox Creek on Oct. 18th, 1881, and died at her home in Elk township on the 15th inst. Deceased was united in marriage to Peter Lei in 1898 and to them were born three children, who, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Rieck, her husband and other kindred survive her. The funeral services were held at St. Joseph's church at this place on Saturday last, the interment being in St. Joseph's cemetery. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved family.
