SHAW, FLAYOR, LITCHFIELD, STAUB

Elkader Register, Thur., 8 Oct. 1903.

After an illness of several years Warren Shaw died Monday, Oct. 5th, at the age of 44 years. He was born Nov. 4th, 1859, at Coshocton, Ohio. He removed to Kansas in 1875, and there in 1883 married Mary Flayor. They resided in Kansas about three years when they came to Iowa. They went back to Kansas in 1893 and then again returned to this place in 1895. He leaves a wife and four children, two brothers and three sisters to mourn his loss. The brothers are N. E. Shaw, of Kansas and Henry, of Elkader; the sisters being Mrs. James Litchfield, of Elkader, Mrs. James Shaw, of Colesburg, and Mrs. Louis Staub, of Elkader.

The funeral was held at the Congregational church Wednesday, Rev. G. W. Baxter officiating.
