Scofield, William W. 'Grandpa' 1813-1903

Elkader Register, Thur., 3 Sept. 1903. Srawberry Point column.

The death of Grandpa Scofield, at the age of 90 years, occurred at his home Sunday afternoon. He leaves two children, Martha and George, both residing at this place, besides nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren to mourn the loss of a kind father and grandfather. The funeral services occurred Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Hestwood in a very fitting manner. The remains were laid to rest in the local cemetery.

Note: William W. Scofield (1813 - 08/30/1903) is buried in the Strawberry Point cemetery
