Mrs. Ed. Biers died at her home here Saturday night quite suddenly, being ill only a few hours, death being due to heart failure. Funeral services were held here Monday by Rev. Bartlett and her remains taken to Patch Grove (Wis.) for Interment. Martha Orr was born in Grant county, Indiana, in April 1850, afterwards coming to Grant county, Wis., with her parents. In 1866 she was married to Levi Lyons and to this union were born nine children, of whom six are still living: Mrs. D. Slyder, Mrs. Rose Hogan and Mrs. Liza Marine of Sioux City, George, of Minnesota, Will of this place and Bob, of Lansing. In 1890 she was united in marriage to Ed. Biers. No children were born to them, but they adopted a small boy, Frankie, who now at the age of six is left motherless. Besides these she leaves several sisters and two brothers to mourn her loss. Sympathy is extended to the afflicted.
