Elkader Register, Thur., 14 May 1903. Strawberry Point column.
The death of Mrs. P. M. Pease occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Cragin at Joplin, Mo., Wednesday. Mrs. Pease has been there for some time and her many friends were pained to learn of her death. She has long been a resident of this place and her demise saddens many homes as she was a woman ever ready to help anyone. The remains were brought here Friday morning and taken to her home where the funeral services were held in the afternoon conducted by Mrs. Crum, of Manchester. The remains were laid to rest in the local cemetery beside her husband who preceded her to the beyond only a few years ago. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. J. C. Flenniken, of this place, and Mrs. John Cragin, of Joplin, Mo., besides the other relatives and friends to mourn her death.
