Death from Sunstroke.
On Sunday last Wilham Greve, one of the pioneers of Clayton county, died from the effects of a sunstroke.
As was his habit he left his house about eight o’clock Sunday morning to take a walk about the farm. Not having returned when dinner was ready one of the boys was sent to call him. He soon found him under a tree in the orchard, unconscious and breathing heavily. He procured help and removed his father to the house and Dr. Matt, of this place, was called, but the head had done its deadly work, medical skill was of no avail, and he died about five p.m.
Deceased was a native of Germany, and was about 58 years of age. He came to Iowa some thirty-three years ago, during all of which time he lived in Clayton county, honored and respected by all who enjoyed the pleasure of his acquaintance. A wife, five sons and five daughters are left to mourn his death.
The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon, his remains being laid to rest in the cemetery at Communia.
