Clarence Cooper, oldest son of Anson Cooper and wife, of this place, died at his home in Marcus, Ia., Jan. 9th, of typhoid pneumonia. His mother was with him at the last. The remains were brought here Saturday and the funeral was held Sunday at the home of his brother-in-law, Albert Smith. He was laid to rest in the east side cemetery. He leaves a wife and one little girl besides hosts of relatives to mourn his untimely death. He was about 32 years of age and grew to manhood near this place. His wife and daughter have the sympathy of all in this their hour of trial.
