Died- On Sunday night, March 16th, August Schmidt, at the age of 18 years. He had been suffering severely for several days with inflammation of the bowels which finally developed into peritonitis, and although the best medical skill was called, still death finally ended his sufferings. Deceased was born in Stralsrund, Prussia, Germany, and came to this country with his parents in 1882. He was a young man of promise, who by his genial ways won for himself a host of friends and admirers. He was the idol of his parents, who lavished on him all their affection, with the fond hope of finding in him, aid and comfort in their old age. His twin brother Willie died a few years since, and at the grave of this beloved brother, August in the depth of his grief uttered the prophetic words that he would not long be separated from him who was his constant companion in life. Our sympathies are with the stricken family whose bright home has become desolate.
