Elkader Register, Thur., 12 Feb. 1920. Extracted from an article about deaths do to the flu.

Ruth Rugland, a daughter of Gundet and Ingebor Rugland, was buried at the Norway church cemetery last Monday, Feb. 9th. She had had the "Flu" which turned into pneumonia and she passed away Feb. 7th, aged 23 years.

Only a few relatives and friends, together with the pastor, could attend the funeral of this dear lady as the law of the state forbid gatherings in such cases.

A memorial service will be held as soon as this epidemic of sickness is over, and a more complete obituary will be published in the REGISTER.

Note: Thru the middle of March no further obituary was found in the Elkader Register.
