Services for Archie R. Tucker, 84, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., will be held Thursday, Jan. 28, at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Guttenberg. The Rev. Karl Goodfellow will conduct the services, with burial in Guttenberg City Cemetery.
Tucker, a former Guttenberg resident, died Jan. 24, 1993, at his home in Florida.
He was born Jan. 8, 1909 at North Buena Vista, a son of Elbert and Mary (Westfall) Tucker. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
On June 26, 1937 he was married at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, to Mildred White, who survives. He was a retired U.S. postal worker.
He was a member of the Methodist Church and American Legion Post #373 of Guttenberg.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Ann Rentschler of Cedar Rapids, and a son, Robert (and Karen) Tucker of West Palm Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren, and a brother, Avery Tucker of Oelwein.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
