Services for Mrs. Berdina Schlueter, 75, of Monona, were scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Monona, to be conducted by the Rev. John Moran.
Mrs. Schlueter died Saturday, April 1, 1995, at home.
Burial will be in the church cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are: Lloyd Weidemann, Rod Haas, Jim, Leon and Tom Schlueter. Active pallbearers are: Thad and Scott Schlueter, Mark and Gene Bischoff, Jason Biermann, Josh, Cody and Will Schlueter and Darron Werger.
Friends called at the Schultz Funeral Home in Monona where there was a scripture service and a rosary.
Berdina Schlueter was born Aug 12, 1919, in Millville, a daughter of Henry and Erma (Franks) Weidemann. She graduated from high school in Cassville, Wis.
She married Arthur L. Schlueter at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Guttenberg on Oct. 22, 1940. They farmed until his death in 1971. She continued farming with one of her sons until 1975. In the following years, she had been employed by the Guttenberg Care Center, the Postville Good Samaritan Home and Advanced Transformer. She later provided child care in her home.
Surviving are three sons, Ronnie (and Angie) Schlueter, of Wauzeka, Wis., Harlan Schlueter, of Monona, and Dennis (and Deb) Schlueter, of Guttenberg; two daughters, Elaine (and Kurt) Biermann, of Guttenberg, and Diana (and Dale) Werger, of Garnavillo; a son-in-law, Robert Bischoff, of Garnavillo; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; five brothers, Oscar, of Roxbury, Wis., Rueben, of Clinton, and Elnor Clifford and Harold, all of Oregon; and two sisters, Wilma Kauten, of Cedar Rapids, and Loretta Yates, of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur, who died May 6, 1971; a daughter, Karen; a grandson, Matthew; and a sister, Henrietta.
