IOWA CITY -- Dolores M. Meyer, 93, formerly of 320 E. Washington St., Iowa
City, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, in Westwing Place, De Witt. Funeral Mass
will be celebrated Thursday, Oct. 28, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church,
220 E. Jefferson St., with Father Bob Harness officiating. There will be a
reception at the church immediately following the service. Burial will be in
Strawberry Point Cemetery, Strawberry Point. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City, where a Parish
vigil service will be held at 7 p.m.

A memorial fund has been established in Dolores' name.

Dolores was born July 13, 1911, in Strawberry Point, Iowa, the daughter of
John Martin and Katherine Ryan Quinn. She graduated in 1930 from Strawberry
Point High School. She married John C. Meyer on April 18, 1938. Dolores was a
member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and volunteered at Mercy Hospital.

Dolores is survived by a daughter, Mary Utter (Joe) of De Witt; three sons,
Joseph Meyer and John Meyer, both of Las Vegas, and Raymond Meyer of West
Branch; and six grandchildren.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; two sons,
Patrick and James; a grandchild, Morgan; six brothers, Joseph, John, Harry,
George, Robert and Kenneth Quinn; and four sisters, Ella, Julia, Rose and
Katherine.
