Elkader Register, Fri., 10 Mar. 1882.
From the McGregor papers we learn that a Mrs. A. Dahlman, of that place, mysteriously disappeared on Monday of last week, and has not since been heard off. The finding of her hat, shawl and overshoes on the river bank leads to the supposition that she committed suicide.
Elkader Register, Fri., 5 May 1882.
The body of a woman was found in the Mississippi river at Guttenberg, on Wednesday, and is supposed to be that of Mrs. Dahlman, who mysteriously disappeared from McGregor about a month ago. A coroner's inquest was held but we did not learn the verdict.
Note: No further mentions could be found in this newspaper.
