Howard Z. Bishop was born at Edgewood, Iowa, on December 10, 1913, the son of Herbert Z. Bishop and Ada ( Thomas ). He graduated from High School at Edgewood and attended Upper Iowa University, Fayette, Iowa.
He was united in marriage to Eva M. Robinson at Warren, Ohio, on January 27, 1944. Howard and his wife served as administrators of the Edgewood Convalescent Home before retiring. He was a member of the Edgewood American Legion No. 512 and the Edgewood Knights of Pythias No. 358
Survivors include: his wife Eva, two daughters, Mrs John (Mary Jo) Baccus of Alleman, Iowa and Mrs. Dennis (Marcia) Kirby of Edgewood, five grandchildren, one sister, Winifred Bishop of Edgewood. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jake Bishop and one sister, Ruth Kruger.

Buried in the Edgewood Cemetery
