Edie Rose Bissell was born September 29, 1901 at Edgewood, Iowa the daughter of Arthur Curtis and Nellie Irene Seward Bissell. She attended the local schools and was united in marriage with Paul William Berens at the home of her parents on February 22, 1921. They lived nd farmed in the Edgewood area until they retired and moved into Edgewood.
Edie was a member of the Mary Martha Circle of the United Methodist Women, Woodland Grange nd United Service Women.
She died at her home on Saturday evening, May 19, 1984.
Surviving are two sons: Robert (Max) Berens of Bushnell, Florida nd Blair Allen Berens of Strawberry Point, Iowa, eleven Grandchildren nd seven Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul in 1967, a son, Dr. Burdette M. Berens, one Grandchild, a Sister, Mrs Otto ( Elsie ) Berens and two brothers, Clair nd Harold Bissell.
