Fred Moore Jr., 39, of Arlington, formerly of Guttenberg, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1998 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.
Services were conducted by Rev. Harold McMillin at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, at St. John Lutheran Church, Guttenberg.
Visitation was Saturday at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.
Burial was in Ceres Cemetery, rural Guttenberg, with the following pallbearers: Torri Alshouse, Tom Manson, Donald Schaefer, Gerald Lovell, Allen Mitchell and Dale Wille.
Fred Moore Jr. was born Aug. 10, 1959, in Cedar Rapids, a son of Fred Sr. and Shirley (Schofield) Moore. He graduated from Guttenberg High School in 1978. He was the owner and operator of Guttenberg Locker and Moore's Locker in Prairie du Chien, Wis., and at the time of his death was owner of the Welcome Inn Restaurant in Arlington.
On July 9, 1990 he was united in marriage to Dana Monroe at Galena, Ill.
Survivors include his wife, Dana; his parents, Fred and Shirley Moore; one sister, Deana (Steve) Cornwell of Guttenberg; two half-sisters, Patricia (Delton) Parker of Marlin, Texas and Lois (Delwyn) Henry of Floyd; three half-brothers, James (Dorothy) Moore of Mount Vernon, Everett (Margaret) Moore of Walker and Leo Schmickle of Quasqueton.
