Elkader Register, Thur., 15 Mar. 1888.

Died- At the residence of his parents in Highland Township, on Sunday, March 11th, 1888, William J., son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Cunningham, aged about 18 years.

Deceased attended school at Elkader, and at the time the measles broke out contracted that disease, his death resulting from measles and lung complication.

He was a bright scholar and dutiful son, who will be greatly missed.

The funeral took place Tuesday from the Catholic church in Elkader, his remains being laid away in the Catholic cemetery.

Again we are called upon to mourn the loss of another one of our schoolmates.
