On Tuesday May 15, occurred the death of Mrs. Rose Reichmann Dean after an illness of several months; in her fifty-eighth year of age. She is survived by her husband and seven children: Mrs. John Stockert, of Potori (possibly Potosi ?), Wis.; Mrs. Theodore _____ Kner, of Dubuque; Mrs. Wm. Ott, of Preston, Minn.; Mrs. George Hafel, Charley, William, and Joseph, of this place; and twenty-two grandchildren; also her aged mother, Mrs. John Reichmann, Sr.; and three brothers and two sisters.
The funeral was held Friday morning at the Catholic Church and burial in the cemetery adjoining. The Pallbearers were John Engling, Wm. Wachendorf, Sr., John Roe, Ben Freiberger and Henry Engling, and those who attended the funeral from out of town were Charles Dean, of Missouri Valley; Mrs. M. J. Reichmann; Mrs. Julia Hess; Mrs. John Klein; Mrs. Phil Link, Mrs. Mary Cook and Philip Stemfer, of Dubuque.
