Elkader Register, Thur., 3 June 1920. Under the Volga column.
Clarence A. Voshell was born in Fayette County in this state on the 28th day of February 1885. He spent his whole life in this community; attended district school and worked on the farm at home and for neighbors until he was married to Marion Susie, Jan. 25, 1911. He then moved onto a farm and followed that industry to the present time. As a farmer he was a wise manager and a hard worker. He evidently was on the way to success in that capacity.
Brother Voshell was a member of the Methodist Church and as such he also was on the official board. He took much interest in the official affairs of the church and his sense of system and business furnished much for the future development of the church.
In his life he was clean of habits, honest in his dealing with his fellowmen and kind in disposition. People who knew him loved and respected him. His home was a place of comfort and quietness because of the ideal the father and mother had chosen for their lives. Now he is gone on, his work was not finished, his influence will continue long as he will be remembered.
He leaves besides his wife, two children Marjorie and William, his parents, two brothers, one sister, besides other relatives.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Methodist Church. Rev. W. H. Smith and Rev. G. L. Heiserman conducted the funeral services. Interment in Hill Crest Cemetery.
