Charles H. "Kelly" Meyers, 70, a former member of the Clayton county Board of Supervisors for [-] years, died at his home here following a several months illness.

Funeral services were to be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Tuecke-Allenstein Funeral Home by the Rev. Fred Richardson, pastor of the United Methodist church. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Burial will be in City Cemetery with the following pallberaers: [-arl] Aulwes, Dale Jaquette, C.H. [-rris], Hubert Schweikert, Harvey Kulper and Kenneth [-llers]. Honorary pallbearers will be Cliff Barnhart, Orville James, [-] Martin and Henry Kann, Jr.

Mr. Meyers was born in Millville township on March 6, 1906, the son of Henry and Mae Wentworth Meyers. On Aug. 24, 1943, he was married at Dubuque to Helen Kruempel, who survives.

Mr. Meyers was a lifetime resident of the Guttenberg area and was employed as a trucker and farmer before serving on the board of supervisors.

Surviving are his wife, Helen; two brothers, Edward and Albert, both of Edgewood; and one sister, Mrs. Loren (Laverna) Rutledge of Guttenberg, and nieces and nephews.
