Services for Frederick 'Fred' H. Schrader, 86, of Guttenberg were scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at St. John Lutheran Church, to be conducted by the Rev. L.R. Lechner.
Mr. Schrader died Sunday, Aug. 5, 1990 at Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Chien, Wis.
Burial will be in Guttenberg city Cemetery with the following pallbearers: Jim Jacobs, Larry Allyn, Frank Schoenauer, Butch Borman, Don Groth and Harvey Torrey.
The Masonic Lodge service was held at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, followed by the Eastern Star service.
Mr. Schrader was a son of Henry and Sophie (Kuehl) Schrader and was born Aug. 15, 1903 at Elkport. On May 12, 1931 he was married at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Elkport, to Sula Walters, who survives.
Mr. Schrader owned and operated the Standard Oil station in Garber, then moved to Guttenberg, where he operated the Shell Oil station and tankwagon for 35 years. He was also a school bus driver. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star.
Surviving besides his wife are one daughter, Lila Schrader of Coralville, and one son, Duane of Tomah, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
