Funeral services were held for Henry C. Eberhardt June 8, 10:30 o'clock at Witt's Funeral Home with Pastor Lehman officiating. Burial was at Zion Lutheran Cemetery at Clayton Center.
Eberhardt died at Central Community Hospital June 5 at the age of 75 years, 7 months and 11 days. He was born at Littleport Nov. 24, 1897, baptized at the Lutheran church and attended school in the Littleport vicinity.
Henry spent most of his life in Clayton County and the last thirty years lived with his niece and family, the Milton M. Kramer's of Elkader, working at the Elkader Co-op the last 23 years.
Hank, as he was known to everyone, never married and is survived by a brother in the State of Washington, and two sisters; Mrs. Millie Schlee, Elkport and Mrs. Ida Bergman, Minneapolis, Minn. Also a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Minnie Landt Eberhardt, a sister, Mrs. Tillie Waterman, and two brothers John and Louis Eberhardt.
Casketbearers were: Roy Engelhardt, Henry Possehl, Lee Probert, August Miller, Harold Dahling and Harold Matt.
