St. Olaf, Ia., Jan 1 - Funeral services were held Sunday at the Norway church for Mrs. Iver J. Stromme.

Deceased was born in Norway May 22, 1845, and was married and came to America in 1867, settling near Waterville, Allamakee county.

In 1880 the family moved to Clayton county. Mr. Stromme died 25 years ago. Surviving relatives are three sons, Martin of Kansas, Samuel of Arkansas, and Carl at home, and one daughter, Mrs. Ida Jones, of Chicago.

Note: The SS application of her son Carl Enock Stromme gives her maiden name as Larson. In conflict is her death certificate which gives her father as Snare Thorvig.

Barbara Snare Thorvig was born in Romsdalen, Norway, on May 22, 1845. She was married to Iver J. Stromme in 1867 and came to America the same year, locating near Waterville, Allamakee County, Ia., where they resided until 1880, when they moved to Clayton County, where she lived the remainder of her life.

Seven children were born; Justin died in infancy; Martin, of Leroy, Kansas; Samuel, Rogers, Ark.; Zina Marie died Aug. 26, 1910; Mrs. Ida Matilda Jones, Chicago; Oluf Justus, died Nov. 01, 1928; Carl Enoch, at home; Iver Stromme died at the home of his son, Martin, at Paola, Kansas, June 25, 1905.

Mrs. Stromme passed away at her home Friday Dec. 27, 1929, at the age of 84 years, seven months, four days. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Norway church.
