Died in Elkader May 24th, 1872, after an illness of two weeks, Mina E., wife of St. Voneschen in her 28th years.
An acquaintance of years with Mrs. Voneschen enables us to say of her that she was one of the most amiable, kind-hearted women we have ever known; a most affectionate wife and devoted mother, whom all who knew her loved and esteemed.
The affliction of Mr. Voneschen is augmented by the fact that four small children are left without that mother’s care. It is a hard lot for which there are few words of comfort to give, except this that the good wife and fond mother has gone to a better world above!
