Died in Read Township on Saturday, April 13th, 1872, after a short but severe illness of one week, John Henry, oldest son of J.H. and Maria Schulte. Aged 20 years.

Another bright flower is plucked in the early spring-time of life. Another of God’s most noble beings is called away from this vale of tears to dwell in the blessed sphere of peace and joy. May God be with the parents and host of friends, and comfort them in this, their great bereavement, and enable them to exclaim with true Christian fidelity and hope, “thy will be done O Lord”.
