She became a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Preble, New York, in the year, 1817; since that she has lived as a zealous, devoted Christian. Through her exertions and a few others of the same faith, a Congregational Society was organized in this village during the past winter, and she had once been enabled, with the, to commemorate the death of her dying Lord.

She was taken with a congestive chill on Sunday evening, the 7th inst., which terminated her life on Wednesday morning following, at half past two. During that time she seemed to be wholly unconscious. She has gone, and her family and friends have to mourn the loss of a devoted wife, a pious mother, and an exemplary Christian.
