Garber- Janice M. Lewin, 66, died Thursday morning in University Hospitals, Iowa City, after a long illness. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Leonard-Witt Funeral Home, Elkader, where friends may call after 2 p.m. today and after 7 a.m. Saturday. Burial: Hansel Cemetery, rural Garber.

Survivors include two sons, Nick of Anamosa and Rick of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Jorja Moore of Dubuque and Lori Hefel of Vinton; a sister, Lylas Hines of Dubuque; three brothers, Cletus and Lorace Amling, both of Dubuque, and Linus of Colesburg; and her father, George Amling of Dubuque.

Also surviving are six grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LaVern, in 1986; a son, Jerry, in 1982; and her mother, Nina Amling.
