Mr. F.D. Bayless furnishes us with the particulars of a distressing accident which occurred to a twin daughter of James Brazel.
The parents were away at the time, the husband working on the D.& M.R.R., taking one of the twin girls along, leaving one with its grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Brazel, in Cox Creek township.
On Saturday afternoon last, at 9 o’clock, the old lady set a kettle of boiling water on the floor, and the child, only three years old, either fell in or set down in it and was fearfully scalded. Dr. Hanna was sent for, but all his efforts to save the little sufferer proved in vain. It died at 10 in the evening.
