Carl Mueller, son of Fred and Mary Radloff Mueller, was born near St. Olaf June 16, 1905. Shortly after his birth he was baptized in Zion Lutheran Church, Clayton Center, by Pastor F. Linnenbuerger. He attended the Farmersburg public school. He attended religious school at St. John Lutheran Church, Farmersburg, and was confirmed there by Pastor Fred Braun November 2, 1919.

He was married to Nina Hessel February 3, 1926, at Garnavillo by Pastor Wm. Braun. After their marriage they farmed on several farms until 1938 when they quit farming and moved near St. Olaf. He drove a school bus and worked in the Farmersburg elevator. After several years he purchased the elevator and moved to Farmersburg. He continued to live in Farmersburg until 1957 when he sold his elevator and moved to McGregor. After selling the elevator he worked as a stone and brick mason. Shortly after moving to McGregor he transferred his membership to St. Paul Lutheran Church at McGregor.

Mr. Mueller's health began to fail this past fall and he entered the Methodist Hospital at Rochester, Minn., where he died Monday, April 5, at the age of 65 years, 9 months and 19 days.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin and Louis.

He is survived by his wife, Nina, McGregor; one son, Robert, Rochester, Minn.; one brother, Fritzie, Farmersburg; five sisters, Mrs. Wm. (Ella) Lubbers, Postville, Mrs. Harvey (Linda) Klasen, Farmersburg; Mrs. George (Marie) Pixler, Mrs. Arlo (Lucy) Johanningmeier, and Mrs. John (Alice) Kiple, McGregor; two grandchildren- besides other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Thursday, April 8, at St. John Lutheran Church, Farmersburg, R. H. Steege, pastor. Music was by the choir and congregation singing, Mrs. R. H. Steege, organist. Burial was in the Farmersburg-Wagner Cemetery.
