KISTER, MERZ, AUER, WAGNER

Garnavillo, Ia., July 15 - Rev. Scharphoff officiated at funeral services in St. Joseph's church here for Joseph Kister recently. Interment was made in St. Joseph's cemetery.

The pallbearers were Richard and James Meehan, Hubert Zapf, Ed. Stickfurd, Ferdinand Jahnke and Joe Vriell.

Mr. Kister was born in Germany in 1861 and came to this country with his parents at the age of eight years. In 1885 he was married to Miss Theresa Merz, also a native of Germany.

Besides his widow he is survived by three children, Alfred, Dyersville; Mrs. Lucy Auer, Waukon; and Joseph, at home; also one sister, Mrs. Joseph Wagner, Monona, and four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
