Dubuque Telegraph Herald, Sun., 14 April 1974.

Elkader- Mrs. Bernice O. Stewart, 77, of Elkader died Thursday at the Central Community Hospital here.

Her husband, Guy, died in 1969.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Congregational United Church of Christ here, with burial in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Sunday at the Witt Funeral Home here.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Georgianna Smith of Cedar Rapids, Ia.; a son, James of Elkader; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two brothers, Erik Aarvig of Story City, Ia., and Clarence of Granite Falls, Minn., and two sisters, Mrs. Alma Rytter of North Hollywood, Calif., and Mrs. Mildred Green of Morehead, Minn.
