Monona Ia. – Last rites for Mrs. Edgar Fisk were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Schultz Funeral Home, with the chaplain of the Veterans Hospital at Des Moines conducting the services. Burial was in the city cemetery.
The former Hazel Gladys Gilbert was born Jan. 23, 1887 in Ossian, the daughter of Eva and Egbert Gilbert. She was married March 14, 1916 to Edgar A. Fisk. They had lived at Farbault, Minn. And Mt. Pleasant before moving to Monona last January. They were temporarily residing in the Peg low home while waiting for their house to be built. Mrs. Fisk died Saturday.
Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Jean Eleanor of Des Moines; her mother, Mrs. Eva Gilbert, of Monona; five sisters, Mrs. William (Floy) Bryan, of Worchester, Mass., Mrs. George (Joy) Wallace, of South Hadley, Mass., Mrs. O. N. (Lennie) Johnson, of Middleton, Mass., Mrs. William (Dorothy) Wallace, of Wakefield, Mass., and Mrs. Fred (Fay) Peglow, of Monona, and two brothers, Russell Gilbert, of Ossian and Harold, of Monona.
