CARL GALL

FARMERSBURG: Carl August Gall, son of Herman Gall and his wife, Wilhelmina, nee Adam, was born August 8, 1887, in Elkader, Iowa. He was baptized in Zion Lutheran Church, Clayton Center, on October 23, 1887, by the Rev. F. W. Seifert.

At the proper age he attended the public schools of his time. He attended religious school at St. John Lutheran Church, Farmersburg, and was confirmed there March 23, 1902, by the Rev. Fred Braun.

Most of his life was spent in the Farmersburg community. He was a carpenter by trade. During World War I he served his country as a soldier. He was a member of the Monona Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Gall died very suddenly Thursday, August 24, 1967, at about 10:30 A.M. as the result of a heart attack at the age of 80 years and 16 days.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Bertha Gall and Mrs. Linnie Davis. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Theresa C. Hinsch, Lapeer, Mich., one niece and three nephews, besides other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 26, at the Schultz Funeral Home at 3 P.m. Music was by Mrs. James Walter, soloist, and Mrs. R. H. Steege at the piano. Burial was in the Farmersburg-Wagner Cemetery.
