Herman Gall, a long time resident of Farmersburg died Tuesday morning at one forty-five.
He was born near Grandenze in West Prussia, Germany, April 21, 1849 and was married in Germany to Wilhelmina Adam, who preceded him in death July 27, 1926. The family came to America in the early eighties and lived for some years in Volga City and later in Elkader. In the spring of 1889 they moved to Farmersburg, where the deceased plied his trade of blacksmith and horseshoer, the trade he learned in Germany and in which he was very proficient.
He always enjoyed good health until a few years ago when he was bothered with asthma. For the last two months his condition grew worse and finally developed into dropsy and heart trouble. He is survived by one son, Karl and three daughters, Bertha of Mitchell, S.D., Mrs. Theresa Hinsch, of Estherville, Iowa and Mrs. Lena Davis of Aribi, Colorado.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon in the Lutheran church and interment will be made in the Farmersburg cemetery.
