Mrs. Henry Klink, Sr., an aged (several words unclear) passed away at the home of her son, Henry, Thursday, December, 27th, at the age of eighty-two years, ten months and five days, following a stroke which attacked her about four weeks before her death.

Walburg Brandenburg was born in Engelstadt, Germany, February 22nd, 1846. When two years old she came with her family to America, and after a few years settled on a farm near Communia, which has been the home of the departed mother for the past seventy-five years.

November 20th, 1864, she was united in marriage to Henry Klink, of Dutelsheim, Germany. Eight children, three boys and five girls, were born to this union, of which one, Mrs. Edward Berns preceded her in death seventeen years ago.

Since the death of her husband, which occurred December 8th, 1918, the aged mother made her home with her son Henry and family on the old homestead, receiving the best care during her declining years.

Her departure is mourned by seven children, as follows: Mrs. August Stahl, Osborne, Iowa; Louis Klink, Motor, Iowa; Mrs. Mike Tieden, Dodge Center, Minn.; Peter Klink, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Minnie Greve, Edgewood, Iowa; Mrs. Charles Hildebrandt, Edgewood, Iowa; Henry Klink, Communia, Iowa.

She also leaves fifteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of old time friends and neighbors.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. H. Franke, of the Evangelical church, at the Henry Klink home Friday afternoon, December 29th and interment was made in the Communia cemetery.
